Mrs. Anna Peterson was soloist and Miss Anna Palmer, organist. Mr. Palmquist died last week. He is survived by his son, Reuben F. Palmquist, one brother Frank Palmquist, two sisters, Miss J. Palmquist and Mrs. C. E. Swenson all of Minneapolis, Minn. John Palmquist was born in Sweden March 26th 1861. He came to America in 1882. After a short time in Chisago City he settled in Minneapolis until April 1909 when he returned to Chisago City and resided on a farm. In 1912 he moved to Old Town where he farmed and also was sexton of the Zion Lutheran Church for almost twenty-five years, serving the congregation well and faithfully. He was confirmed in the Lutheran Church in Sweden. On August 20th 1886 he was united in marriage to Carrie Falk of Chisago City. To this union a son was born. Services were conducted by the Rev. Oscar Lund, Vice-pastor of the church. Pallbearers were: Carl Peterson and Arvid Alquist of Minneapolis, Gust Peterson, Chas. Eklund, Clarence Bergquist and Gacob Gustafson, all of Chisago City.
