After only a few days of sickness Mrs. Carolina Peterson of Chisago City died last Tuesday morning at the home of her daugher, Mrs. C. Cederberg, Minneapolis, with whom she has been visiting in the last weeks. She was in her usual health Christmas Day when she suffered a paralytic stroke that caused the end of her earthly life. She was born on May 18, 1839 at the parish of Nöbeled, Kronoberg's län, Sweden, and came to America as a widow in 1885. Her first home was at Taylors Falls. On August 19, the following year, she was married to Mr. Joachim Peterson of Chisago City, and since then Chisago City has been her home. On September 26, the same year, she became a member of the Chisago City church. Her funeral will be held from the church on New Year's Day after the morning service and interment at West Green lake Cemetery [illegible] her gransons will act as pallbearers: Clarence, Maurits, Archie, Chester and Howard Bergquist and William Cederberg. She leaves to mourn her departure two sons C. J. Bergquist and Wm. Bergquist, both of Chisago City, one daughter, Mrs. Chas. Cederberg of Minneapolis, together with their families and a large number of friends.
