He attended schools at District 119, Barnesville High School and one year at the U. of Minn. He married Marilyn Cole of Moorhead, July 13, 1958. Marilyn is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Al Cole. She received her education in the Grand Forks and Moorhead school systems. Marilyn and George lived in the Hawley, Comstock and Barnesville areas before moving to Lewiston, Montana where George has a Janitorial Service. Their children are: Charles, born March 12, 1959; Ann, born July 25, 1963; Peder, born July 30, 1969. They attend schools in Lewiston. All are active in sports. George coaches Legion baseball.
