He was born and raised at Dows, Iowa. He attended the school for the deaf at Council Bluffs, Iowa. He married Edith Canopy on June 4, 1913. They farmed near Baker until his death in 1956. Edith passed away Jan. 12, 1975. Their children are: Milton, on the home farm; Ardis (Mrs. Gerald Sanders) of Felton; Arlene (Mrs. Arthur Berge) Souris, North Dakota; and a daughter who died in infancy. ========================================================================= Copyright Don Hansen 2006.
