FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Don Hansen Submitted: June 2006 ========================================================================= Clay County Family Album A History of Rural Clay County, MN, 1976 HARTWELL AND LUELLA (BUTENHOFF) CARR Hartwell (Acy) Carr, son of William R. and LoVesta Coomer Carr, was born Feb. 10, 1889 on his father's farm in Hubbard County, Iowa. In 1902 his family moved to a farm in Elkton Township near Baker, where he attended school and grew to manhood. He was a veteran of World War I serving in France. He married Luella Butenhoff, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Butenhoff of Baker. She died while the children were small and Miss Iola Pfaff was housekeeper and helped Acy raise the children. The children were: Glennys, who married John Giorgi and lives at Mountain Iron, Minn. Their children are: Kathy, Steve, Brian, Keith and Todd. June, who is married to Arlo Olson and lives in Tacoma, Washington. Their children are: Debby, Sonja, Connie, Paul, Jayne and James. Acy passed away Feb. 11, 1966 when his car was hit by a train at Baker. ========================================================================= Copyright Don Hansen 2006.
