My father was in the Air Force stationed at Drew Field. At three months of age we moved back to Pipestone County and lived on a farm near Woodstock. When I was three years old we moved to Pipestone, where my father resumed his law practice. We lived north on Highway 75. My parents still live there. I attended St. John's University in 1963 majoring in government and upon graduating with a B.A. Degree in 1967 entered the Army. I served two years and was in Viet Nam during 1968-1969. After the service, I entered William Mitchell College of Law in St. Paul, graduating in 1973. The same year I married Nancy Wachter from Homer City, PA and we moved to Pipestone where I joined my father's law practice. We have four children, Jimmy, Marne and a set of twins, Danny and Gina. I was elected Pipestone County Attorney in 1978 and reelected in 1982. ========================================================================= Copyright Don Hansen 2006.
