She had been in failing health for the past eight years. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 11:00 a.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church of Sabin with Pastor Wayne Anderson officiating. Rose Marie Johnk will be the soloist and Susan Johnk will be the organist. Pallbearers will be six nephews, Eddie Butenhoff, Dennis Butenhoff, Alvin Hansen, Don Eliason, Ronald Eliason and Gerald Eliason. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of Sabin. Visitation will be held Thursday afternoon and evening in the Dobmeier Funeral Home. Esther, daughter of John Eliason and Hilma Soderberg, was born Dec. 31, 1910, on her father's farm near Buxton, N. Dak. She attended school and grew to womanhood in the Buxton area. She then worked in the Buxton and Fargo Area. She married Willie E. Butenhoff of Baker June 16, 1948, in the Butenhoff farm near Baker. The couple farmed in the Baker area, retiring in 1971. They moved into Barnesville in 1973 where she has made her home until the time of her death. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Barnesville and the Barnesville Senior Citizens. She is survived by her husband, Willie, two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. Henry (Marie) Hanson, Broadhead, Wis.; Mrs. Elmer (Helen) Hovet, Buxton, N. Dak., David Eliason, Grand Forks, N. Dak.; and Reuben Eliason, Rice Lake, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents and five brothers.
