FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Don Hansen Submitted: June 2006 ========================================================================= IDA STOCK BUTENHOFF, #660T Name and date of newspaper unknown IDA BUTENHOFF IS BURIED AT SABIN TUESDAY Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon in the Trinity Lutheran Church at Sabin for Mrs. W. J. (Ida) Butenhoff. Mrs. Butenhoff, 74, passed away Saturday evening in a Moorhead Hospital. She had been in poor health since March 31 of this year when she broke her hip in a fall in her home. Rev. I. W. Bade officiated. Soloist was Larry Nelson with Mrs. I. W. Bade at the organ. Pallbearers were six nephews Leo Stock, Anton Krebs Jr., Clarence Krebs, Harold Bjornson, Arnold Butenhoff and Lawrence Butenhoff. Interment was in the church cemetery. Dobmeier Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. The daughter of Adam Stock and Amelia Bier, Ida was born Oct. 2, 1892 in Albany. She attended school and grew to womanhood in the Albany area. She came to the Sabin-Baker area in 1912. Nov. 16, 1915 she married W. J. (Bill) Butenhoff in Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Stearns County. The couple then farmed near Baker until 1954 when they retired and moved into Barnesville. Mr. Butenhoff passed away Jan. 31, 1960. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran and the ladies aid. She is survived by six sisters and two brothers, Mrs. F. G. (Emma) Butenhoff, Barnesville; Mrs. Henry (Annie) Schellin, Duluth, Mrs. Ole (Marie) Morthberg, Anoka; Mrs. Michael (Molly) Meyers, St. Paul; Mrs. Robert (Esther) Johansen, Minneapolis; Mrs. Anton (Elsie) Krebs, Barnesville; John Stock, Frazee, and Adam Stock of Barnesville. She is also survived by six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, David, who passed away Nov. 25, 1961, her parents, one sister and one brother. ========================================================================= Copyright Don Hansen 2006.
