Melvin Roy Butenhoff, 74, Pelican Rapids, died Wednesday, May 27, 1998, in Good Samaritan Home, Pelican Rapids. Mr. Butenhoff was born July 2, 1923, in Barnesville, Minn. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II. On Oct. 26, 1946, he married Delores Carlson in Comstock, Minn. She died in 1995. On Oct. 14, 1995, he married Doris Wagenman in Loon Lake, Minn. He farmed for a time and worked as a truck driver at Consolidated Freightways, Fargo, for 27 years. He is survived by his wife; a daughter, Peggy Butenhoff, Comstock; two stepdaughters, Lana (Joe) Callahan, Mora, Minn., Lois (David) Boomgaarden, Frazee, Minn.; five stepsons, Richard Wagenman, Maplewood, Minn., Noel Wagenman, St.Paul, James Wagenman, Pelican Rapids, Donald Wagenman, Birchwood, Wis., Timothy (Andrea) Wagenman, Cottage Grove, Minn.; Two brothers, Floyd (Dorothy), Barnesville, George, Lewistown, Mont.; a sister, Delores (Richard) Young, GrandForks, N.D.; 11 step- grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren. VISITATION: Tonight from 4 to 8, with a prayer service at 7, in Furey Funeral Home, Vergas, Minn., and one hour before the funeral in the church. FUNERAL: Monday at 11 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Loon Lake.
