Barnesville, Minn.-William John "Bill" Butenhoff, 78, retired Baker, Minn. Farmer, died Sunday evening in his home here. The funeral will be at 2 Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church of Sabin, Minn., the Rev. I. W. Bade officiating. Born Jan. 24, 1882 in Iowa, Mr. Butenhoff August and Wilhelmina Tiews Butenhoff. The family came to Clay County in 1911, settling at Baker. Mr. Butenhoff married Ida Stock at Albany Minn., Nov. 16, 1915. They farmed at Baker until June 1954, when they retired to Barnesville. Besides his wife he leaves a son David, on the hoe farm at Baker; a bother, Otto of Santa Cruz, Calif.; two sisters, Mrs. Henry (Rose) Possehl, 1608 4th Ave. S., Moorhead, and Mrs. Theodore (Bertha) Iverson, Sunland, Calif., and five grandchildren. Four brothers and two sisters preceded him in death. Dobmeier Funeral Home will conduct the funeral. MOORHEAD RED RIVER SCENE Thursday, 2/4/1960 "BILL" BUTENHOFF FUNERAL FRIDAY Funeral services for William John Butenhoff, 78, retired Baker farmer, will be at 2 p.m. Friday in Trinity Lutheran Church of Sabin. The Rev. I. W. Bade will officiate. Mr. Butenhoff died Sunday evening at his Barnesville home. He was born Jan. 24, 1882 in Iowa. The family came to Clay county in 1911. In 1915 he married Ida Stock.
