EMMA MOLL BUTENHOFF OBIT, #667t Name and date of newspaper unknown LAST RITES HELD FRIDAY FOR MRS. ALBERT BUTENHOFF OF BAKER (Baker correspondence) Funeral services for Mrs. Albert Butenhoff were held on Friday afternoon at the beautiful farm home north of Baker, at 1:30 and at the Trinity Lutheran church near Sabin at 2 o'clock. Rev. Paul Schumm, pastor of the Lutheran church conducted both services, choosing as his text "My flesh and my hearth faileth but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever." He spoke of the courage and fine Christian character of this departed wife, mother and grandmother. She was an ardent church worker and a devoted wife and mother. Through the long months of almost unbearable suffering, and the loss of her eyesight, she was sweetly patient, and faithful to her God unto the end. The congregation sang "One Sweetly Solemn Thought" and the Trinity choir sang "For me to Live as Jesus" and "Our Longed for Home." Miss Marietta Bussman presided at the organ, and Prof Bussman directed the choir. The many beautiful floral offerings, and gifts in her memory to missions, children's homes, etc., bore mute evidence of the esteem in which this departed sister was held.
