C. BUTENHOFF DIES WEDNESDAY AFTER SHORT ILLNESS Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. in the Sabin Lutheran church for Henry C. Butenhoff, 71, who died in a Fargo hospital early Wednesday morning. Rev. I. W. Bade will officiate. Mr. Butenhoff, who farmed between Baker and Sabin, passed away after a short illness. Born in Iowa, he was married there and came to Clay county around 1915. Besides his wife, he leaves a son Milton of Baker; two daughters, Mrs. Arlene Berge, Souris N.D. and Mrs. Ardis Sanders, Felton, Minn.; three brothers, F. G. Butenhoff, Baker, William of Barnesville and Otto of Lancaster, Calif. Three sisters, Mrs. Theodore E. (Bertha) Iverson, Moorhead, Mrs. Henry (Rose) Possehl, Moorhead, and Mrs. Oscar (Clara) Iverson, Baker; nine grandchildren. ========================================================================= Copyright Don Hansen 2006.
