Butenhoff and his late wife. She attended local schools and was confirmed in the Sabin Trinity Lutheran church. She had passed her 33rd milestone on Friday, march 21. On June 22, 1932, she was married to Hartwell Carr at Sabin, and they have since resided on a farm in the Baker-Barnesville vicinity. Paul Schumm, pastor, conducted the funeral service. Pallbearers were Howard McEvers, Kenneth James Carr, Virgil Carr, Chester Possehl, Arnold Butenhoff and Rudy Possehl of Comstock. Burial was in the Barnesville cemetery. It was one of the largest funerals ever held in this vicinity. The floral offerings were many and beautiful. There were also a number of mission memorials.
