EDWARD POSSEHL OBIT, #1159T Barnesville Record-Review Thur. 9/25/1969 Rites Are Held For Mrs. Possehl. Funeral services were held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. in Trinity Lutheran Church of Sabin for Mrs. Edward (Mary) Possehl. Pastor I. W. Bade officiated. Miss Rosemarie Johnk was the soloist with Mrs. I. W. Bade at the organ. Pallbearers were Edsel Boe, Marvin Getz, Dennis Maier, Dewey Possehl, Norman Krabbenhoft, and George Krabbenhoft. Interment was in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Sabin. Arrangements were made by Dobmeier Funeral Home. Mrs. Possehl, 73, passed away Sunday afternoon in a Moorhead hospital. She has been in failing health for the past seven months. The daughter of Benjamin Moore and Hannah White, Mary was born Feb. 24, 1896 in Martinsville, Indiana. The family came to Minnesota in 1909 settling in the Baker area where she attended country school and grew to womanhood. She married Edward F. Possehl of Baker Nov. 20, 1917 in Trinity Lutheran Church. The couple made their home on the same farm near Baker all their married life and she continued to live their until the time of her death. Mr. Possehl passed away July 17, 1968. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church of Sabin, the Ladies Aid and the Baker Republican Club. Mrs. Possehl is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Karl (Evelyn) Getz of Baker, and a foster son, Lyle Anderson, Escondido, Calif. There are seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. She is also survived by one sister, Mrs. Hans (Leafy) Krabbenhoft, of Sabin.
