Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Anthony Zervas, of San Diego, Calif., former Hawley resident. Mrs. Zervas died unexpectedly Sunday at her home. Melba Shippey was born in Hawley Feb. 28, 1907, and graduated from Hawley High School in June of 1925. She married Anthony Zervas in October of 1925. They moved to Fargo in 1929 and had lived at Little Falls before moving to San Diego where they have resided the past 23 years. Mrs. Zervas was employed in a San Diego Post Office the past 20 years. She is survived by her husband; a daughter, Mrs. Tony Maio (Diane) of San Diego; a son, Gene of Riverside, Calif.; three grandchildren; two brothers, Stanley Shippey of Fargo and Merrill Shippey of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three sisters, Mrs. Charles Banning (Ione) Meredity Shippey, both of Hopkins, and Mrs. Joseph Mell (Vivian) of San Diego.
