Mr Olson passed away Wednesday morning October 7 at the Gilbert Larson home at the age of 68 years 4 months. John A Olson was born June 28th 1885 on a farm at Barrett,Minn, where he was baptized and confirmed in the Luthern faith. He was united in Holy Matrimony to Gena Strand at Elbow Lakeon January 24th 1920. They moved to the Solway community in 1922 and later to Shevlin where they farmed until his retirement this year. Besides his wife, Gena, he is surveived by six children, Jerome of Bagley, LeRoy of Menomonee Falls Wisc., Dwight and Richard at home, Mrs Louis Sweeny (Novella) and Mrs. Dean Horner ( Maxine) of Minneapolis; also three grandchildren , a brother Iver of Elbow Lake and a sister Mrs Alfred Gulsvig (Julia ) of Belgrade . He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters Ida and Mary and a brother, Ole.
