FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Judy Clarke Submitted: March 2006 ========================================================================= Mark Eldon Lober, the son of George Eldon and Donna Elsing Lober, was born August 21, 1965 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Mark was baptized at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Windom, MN and confirmed there in 1980. He attended grade school in Windom and graduated from Windom High School in 1984. While in high school he was member of the National Honor Society. Mark then attended South Dakota State University in Brookings, SD, graduating in 1989 with a degree in Civil Engineering. He worked for the Department of Transportation during the summers while he was attending college. After college he was employed as a civil engineer in Mankato, MN and spent the last fourteen years in St. Paul. Mark spent most of time working in the Alternative Transportation Office establishing and engineering bike trails. Mark spent much of his later years with his good friend and companion, Amy Adson. They had a special relationship that involved, mutual giving, lots of outdoor sports and activities and an unbelievable amount of laughter. A favorite past time for the two of them was savoring the brilliance of a sunset over the water at the end of the day. Mark passed away unexpectedly on February 28, 2006 in Tracy, MN at the age of 40. Mark had a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He also enjoyed sailing, reading and biking. Mark is survived by his parents, George Eldon and Donna Lober of Tracy, MN; one sister, Gayle Johnson and her husband, Don of Eagan, MN; niece Kyla Johnson and nephew Alec Johnson both of Eagan, MN and his grandmother, Gladys Elsing of Adrian, MN. He is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents. Memorial services were held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church Fulda, MN on Monday, March 6, 2006 at 10:30 AM with the Rev. Dwayne Schroeder officiating. The organist was Irene Wahl. The soloist was A.W. Koopman.
