He served in the US Navy during WWII. He was united in marriage to Wilma Foster on June 6, 1946, at Slayton, Minnesota. They farmed for several years then moved to St. Cloud, Minnesota. They then moved to Island Lake near Longville then to Baxter, Minnesota in 1996. He was an electrician for 30 years. He was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Union, American Legion in Brainerd and St. Cloud, and the St. Cloud VFW. He enjoyed his grandchildren, hunting, fishing, bowling, and making bird houses. He enjoyed following the Minnesota Twins and was an all around handyman. Cletus died Monday, February 13, 2006, at his home in Baxter, Minnesota at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife Wilma; one daughter Carol Brouillet, Brainerd, MN; three sons: Tom (Sandy) Brouillet, St. Cloud, MN; Larry Brouillet, St. Cloud; and Bob (Bev) Brouillet, Zimmerman, MN; one sister Hazel Clevenstien, Pennsylvania; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Leander and Daisy Brouillet. Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 16, 2006, at 1:30 p.m. at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter-Brainerd with Cristy Kintop as celebrant. Burial was in the Minnesota State Veteran Cemetery at Camp Ripley with Military Honors provided by the Brainerd American Legion Post #255. ========================================================================= Copyright Judy Clarke 2006.
