Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Ian Heath DEATH OF HENRY STULTZ.-- On Tuesday last Geo. L. Stultz received a letter announcing the death of his father, Henry Stultz, which occurred at Hastings, Minn., whither he moved several years ago. Mr. Stultz was one of the earliest pioneers of this city [Beaver Dam WI], having moved here from New Jersey some forty years ago, and lived here until he removed to Hastings. In his youth he was apprenticed at the blacksmith trade, which business he followed during his life time, attending to it in connection with his farm for the first few years after coming here. For many years he was afflicted with a fever sore, and for the last few months was completely run down with general debility. He was 75 years of age, had thus lived a long and useful life, and brought up a large family, and leaves surviving the wife of his youth, four sons and three daughters. He was an honest, industrious, temperate man, and a good and useful citizen, whose death will be regretted by large numbers of friends wherever he has lived. This entire community, in which he resided so long, will deplore the loss of the sturdy old pioneer and cherish his memory as that of one of the true and noble men of a fast passing generation.
