Samuel Leslie died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. John Smith, this village, 
at 2 o'clock Sunday morning.  Deceased was born in Ireland in 1808. He came to 
this country when he was 18, and settled in Faribault county nearly forty 
years ago.  Enlisted in 1862 in Co. K. 1st Minn., cavalry, serving until the 
close of the war.  Funeral was held Monday at 2 o'clock under the auspices of 
Clabaugh Post, No. 54, G.A.R., of which he was a member.  He leaves nine 
children
