Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Alan Hartman Obit: Mrs. Lydia Ann Shufelt, nee Marsh, wife of H. C. Shufelt, was born in Blue Earth Co, Minn, on April 4, 1867 and resided there until 16 years old, when she, wither her parents, moved to Faribault Co. She was married to James Hartman, Oct. 23, 1886. She was left a widow October, 1895. She was married to H. C. Shufelt June 9, 1900. She was the mother of six children; five by the first marriage and one by the second. She departed this life on Sunday morning at 3:30 July 16, 1905, aged 38 years, 3 mos and 16 days. She has lived in the neighborhood of the Basey church all her life. She was a member of the church for many years, and not only a member but a worker in the church. The funeral was held at the Basey church on Monday afternoon, and although a very busy season, the church was full of people to attest their friendship to her in this last opportunity to show respect. Her remains were laid to rest in the cemetery by the church to await the sound of the trumpet at time of the resurrection. H. Deal
