Ownership of the Cemetery is unknown, but is on land owned by Mrs. James Taylor. The Blooming Prairie times, on 25 July 1932, wrote an article about this cemetery. It started the Bliss McIntyre, and Hikok families laid out the cemetery in 1860, just behind a little brick building, used as a school and church. The Taylor School, taken down in 1958, stood where the brick building was. The Times stated Mrs. William A Jones, who died 6 Dec 1860 at age 38 was the first burial. However a stone is there of Wilbur F. DeGood dated 21 Mar 1859. Mr. Bliss was a picturesque character who had driven a team to Calif. during the gold rush in 1849, but eventually returned to farm in Minn. His son Gilbert (Gib) Bliss was the caretaker until his death. He also bought the fence and gate for this cemetery. His burial, in 1928, was the last. He rests in an unmarked grave here in this cemetery. In 1932 efforts where made to restore this cemetery and again in 1942. On the 19 May 1952 the Albert Lea Tribune stated that the women and their husbands or the community cleaned and restored the cemetery in 1984. The cemetery is being restored by: Maruin and Tracy Christensen, Rev. Neil Lindorff, Walter and Fern Wanger, Joann Flugum, Larry Wangen (Cat and Back hoe operator), Gary and Dale Wangen, moscow town board members: Button Magnuson, Mike Taylor, Ted Spain, Dick Ruble and Arden Wangen. George Ehrhardt furnished grass seed and Henry Dulitz of Star Granite works on stone restoration ideas. It is known of unmarked graves in this cemetery, no records are available.
