Mrs Bowen who was 73 years of age at the time of her death came from Wisconsin with her parents 1865, when they settled on a farm in Freeborn twp. In this communty she was married and lived until 1912 when she moved to the northern part of the state where she remained until her death. She was devoted Christian and a devoted wife and mother. Six children preceded her in death. Seven are living, Will, Morton and Verle of Glenwood, Jerone of Mankato, Harvey of Gaylord, Mrs. W. E. Olson of Makoti, N. D. and James of Freeborn.
