FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Annie Submitted: March 2005 ========================================================================= Frank Cerney was born at Medo Ujezed, Bohemia, June 5, 1826 and died at his home in London township, Freeborn County, Minnesota March 16, 1897, being therefore nearly 68 years of age. He grew to manhood at his native place and November 25, 1857(?) he was joined in marriage to Miss Marie Mudra, of Syra. He engaged in farming and remained engaged in this until 1882 when they decided to emigrate to America, where they arrived May 16. They settled in St. Ansgar township, Mitchell County, Iowa where they lived for 10 years. In 1892 they moved to London township, Freeborn County where they lived at the time of his death which was caused by pneumonia and heart desease (sic). Nine children, six sons and three daughters were born to them, all of whom with their mother mourn his loss. These are John in Mower county Minnesota; Frank who resides at St. Louis Mo; Antonia wife of John Dvorak of Freeborn county Minn; Joseph living at Belle Plain Iowa; Louis J. our fellow townsman; Celia wife of H. J. Wheeler living neaar Mitchell, Iowa (sic); James L. also our fellow townsman; Annie wife of John (sic) Svejkovsky of Freeborn county, Minnesota, and Charles the youngest who resides at home. There are also (?) 35 grand children now living. The funeral was held at the school house 2 miles from his home and his remains were laid to rst at the London Cemetery near his home. ========================================================================= Copyright.
