Ransom aged 79 years and two months. Margaret Jeanette Ransom was born at Manhiem, Herkimer Co., NY, 17 Sep 1820. When eighteen years of age she moved to Stockbridge, NY, and four years later she was united in marriage with Charles Rollins Ransom. In 1854 they emigrated to Token Creek, Wis., where they resided for a period of ten years when they moved to Mazomanie. They removed in 1870 to Albert Lea where they have since resided. Besides her husband two sons survive her, Robert G. and C. Willis Ransom of this city. The funeral services were conducted from the home at 10:30 Sunday morning by Rev. Margaret Olmstead, of the Universalist church, of which denomination the deceased was a member. The remains were laid to rest in the Albert Lea cemetery and a large concourse of sympathizing friend paid their last sad tribute to the memory of a beloved wife and mother.
