Ward, formerly of this city, and a member of the graduating class of 1882, Red Wing high school, and Victor Bruber, were married very quietly at the house of the bride and her brother, at White Willow, Zumbrota township, Thanksgiving day, by Rev. W. C. Rice. They have taken up their abode with their brother and are now "at home" to their friends. Bruber, to take place Wednesday afternoon, May 21, at 3 o'clock, at their home in Featherstone. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daily Republican - Red Wing, MN - Saturday, May 21, 1902 FRENN - BRUBER The Wedding in Featherstone Last Wednesday a Notable Event. The elegant and spacious home of Mr. and Mrs. J. P. Frenn of Featherstone was crowded with relatives and friends Wednesday afternoon to witness the marriage of Miss Hilda Frenn to Oscar W. Bruber of Hay Creek. Just 4 o'clock the bridal party descended the main staircase into the drawing room while Miss Edith Peterson presided at the piano. Miss Nellie Foley of Lake City attired in pale blue mull, entered first attended by Carl Frenn, brother of the bride, then Miss Esther Frenn, sister of the bride, attired in pink mull, entered attended by Fred Ledgerding of Hay Creek; last came the bride and groom. The bride was gowned in white silk lansdown made en train and wore a veil and carried bride's roses. The groom wore the conventional black. When the bridal couple had taken their place under a beautiful large bell of smilax and roses, Dr. E. Norelius of Vasa pronounced the words that made them man and wife. After congratulations had been tendered the newly wedded couple, a delicious five course dinner was served to 150 guests. A table seating 40 people decorated with smilax and carnations, had been set on the lawn covered by a canopy. The waiters were: Misses Emily and Augusta Carlson, Ida Lundberg, Edna Larson, Esther Erickson and Marie Frenn and Messrs. Sigfred Lundberg and Harry Carlson. The Featherstone band, under the leadership of Chas. Wendler of Red Wing rendered excellent music during the afternoon and evening. A. W. Peterson and Miss Mollie Peterson were host and hostess of the occasion. The wedding presents were numerous and very expensive. The bridal couple is well known. The groom was born and raised in Red Wing and has always lived in the county, mostly on his large farm in Hay Creek. The bride was born and raised at her home in Featherstone, where all have learned to love and respect her for her many ladylike and Christian qualities. She has been a faithful and willing worker at home and in the Lutheran church, ever ready and happy to do her share. Her pleasant face will be missed in many places. Mr. and Mrs. Bruber left Wednesday evening for Hay Creek where they will reside on the groom's farm. They will be at home to their friends after June 1. Schacht, Misses Esther and Alice and Will Ericson of Red Wing. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daily Republican -Thursday, Sept 17, 1914 Bruber - Wells Nuptials Miss Annis Bruber, formerly of this city, now residing at St. Paul, was united in marriage to C. D. Dells, [sic Wells] Tuesday evening at 8 o'clock at the Central Christian church in St. Paul, Rev. J. McKee performing the ceremony. The bride was attended by her sister, Miss Mildred Bruber, and the groom by Theodore Anderson. The bride was gowned in crepe meteor and carried bride's roses. Following the ceremony a wedding dinner was served at the home of the couple. The guests present were Miss Mildred Bruber, Miss Nina [sic Mina] Bruber, Mrs. Henry Loomis, St.Paul; Miss Edna Bruber, South St. Paul; Miss Ruth Good, Tomah, Wis.; Clarence Graaf, Esterville, Iowa; Andrew Rockmeyer, St. Paul, and Oscar Cree of Worthington. The bride has many Red Wing friends, who extend heartiest congratulations to the couple for a happy home life. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Daily Republican - Red Wing, MN - Wednesday, February 24, 1915 FORMER RED WING LADY BECOMES BRIDE Miss Mildred Bruber Weds Chas. P. Foot, Physician, of St. Paul. Miss Mildred Bruber, a former resident of this city and a graduate of the Red Wing high school, was united in marriage Monday evening at 8 o'clock at St. Paul to Dr. Chas. P. Foot. The ceremony was performed by Rev. John McKee of the Central Christian church at the home of Mr. and Mrs. F. A. Johnson, 276 South Exchange street. The wedding music was played my Miss Ruth Lundgren. The home was tastefully decorated for the event, palms, smilax and cut flowers being most effectively used throughout the rooms The bride was gowned in white chiffon and satin. She wore a tulle veil, caught with orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of roses and hyacinths. Miss Mina Bruber, a sister was the bride's attendant, and Herbert W. Dunn of St Paul was best man. Dr. and Mrs. Foot will be at home to their friends, upon their return from a short wedding trip at 971 Reany street. A host of Red Wing friends extend congratulations
