E. Winjum, northwest of this place, at 12:30 a.m. on Saturday Feb. 20, 1915. Mr. Hanson had been in very poor health for several months and his death had been expected at any time. Bright's disease was the immediate cause of his death. Andrew Hanson was born in Skane, Sweden, June 7, 1846. When 21 years of age he emigrated to America and settled in Goodhue county, Minn., where a number of years later he married Mrs. Carrie Johnson. In 1899 he moved to Hamlin County, S. D., buying a piece of land at Dolph post office site, northwest of here, where he lived until last fall when he sold his land and returned to Cannon Falls, Minn. There he remained only a short time and returned and made his home with his daughter until the time of his death. Deceased is survived by his widow, one son - Emil Hanson of Cannon Falls - and two daughters - Mrs. Chas. Bork of Vienna and Mrs. O. E. Winjum, besides his step-son, A. N. Johnson, and numerous friends. Funeral services were held at the West Norden church Monday afternoon, Rev. E. S. Eidesvik of Bryant officiating, and burial took place in the West Norden cemetery. CARD OF THANKS Mr. and Mrs. O. E. Winjum and the other members of the family wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the friends whose kindly acts and sympathetic words aided and comforted them in their late bereavement. ========================================================================= Copyright Heather Shepard 2005.
