VINING died on Sunday evening, Aug. 5, 1894, at his home on Seventh street in this city, aged 79 years, 8 months and 21 days. Deceased emigrated with his wife, and several children from Wayne county, Pennsylvania to Florence, Goodhue county, Minnesota in 1855, and successfully engaged there in farming for a number of years. About eighteen years ago he removed to this city and has since resided here. His first wife died in Florence some twenty years ago, and he subsequently married Mrs. A. McNeal, who survives him. He leaves two sons and two daughters, namely, Mrs. John Thorpe of Beaconsfield, IA; Mrs. Ella Reynolds and E.M. Vining of Florence, and G.W. Vining of Eau Galle, Wis. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. V.B. Conklin, were held from the Baptist church at 10 a.m., on Wednesday, the relatives in attendance from abroad being Mrs. Reuben Warren of Plum City, Wis., and Martin McNeal of Lost Creek, Wis., children of Mrs. Vining, the surviving widow of deceased. The remains were interred in the family cemetery on the farm in Florence.
