WILLIAM G. ALBRECHT - Vol II, pg 421
William G. Albrecht is prominent in the business circles of Minneapolis 
as a member of the Albrecht-Rodine Company, a furniture concern. A native 
of Wisconsin, his birth occurred on the 27th of November, 1885, a son of 
G. A. and Anna (Thurman) Albrecht, likewise natives of Wisconsin. The 
father was engaged in the manufacturing business in that state for many 
years.

The public schools of Plymouth, Wisconsin, afforded William G. Albrecht 
his early education and subsequently he became a student at the 
University of Wisconsin, from which institution he was graduated in 1909. 
He made his initial step into the business world as a traveling salesman 
for a Milwaukee firm. He was active in that connection nine years and in 
1918 came to Minneapolis and became associated with Burr & Son. 
Subsequently he acquired an interest in that business and the name was 
changed to Burr-Albrecht & Company. In 1920 it became the Albrecht-Rodine 
Company. This concern stands high among the substantial business 
interests of Minneapolis. They handle a complete line of furniture and 
under the executive guidance of Mr. Albrecht the business is constantly 
expanding. He employs the highest and most honorable principles in the 
conduct of the business and well merits the confidence and esteem in 
which he is held by all.

In Chicago on the 15th of July, 1911, was celebrated the marriage of 
William G. Albrecht to Miss Hilda Krunnrey and to their union three 
children have been born: Jane, Mary and John. Mrs. Albrecht is a woman of 
much personal charm and she is active in the club and social circles of 
this city.

In his political views William G. Albrecht is a stanch republican. He is 
actively interested in party affairs, although he has never sought nor 
desired public preferment. Fraternally he is a thirty-second degree Mason 
and a member of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. He is an active 
contributor to the Central Avenue Commercial Association and holds 
membership in the Young Men's Christian Association. Along strictly 
business lines he is identified with the Furniture Dealers Association. 
For recreation from his business affairs Mr. Albrecht turns to the great 
outdoors and he is a proficient fisherman.
