Marion Daniel Shutter, D.D., LL.D.; Volume I - Shutter (Historical); volume II - Biographical; volume III - Biographical FRANK HENRY GAHRE - Vol III, pg 644 Frank Henry Gahre is a prominent factor in industrial circles of Minneapolis as the vice president and treasurer of the Bardwell-Robinson Company, wholesale manu­facturers of interior finish. His birth occurred in Bridgeton, New Jersey, on the 29th of March, 1870, his parents being Henry C. and Elizabeth M. Gahre. In the acquire­ment of an education he attended the public schools of his native city and subsequently matriculated in the University of Minnesota Law School, from which he was graduated with the class of 1896. Soon thereafter he entered the employ of the Bardwell-Robinson Company of Minneapolis, wholesale manufacturers of saslf and doors, and in that connection worked his way upward from a clerical position to one of executive control, being now vice president and treasurer of the corporation. A man of excellent business ability, sound judgment and keen discrimination, his efforts have contributed in no small measure to the steady growth and expansion of this large industrial concern. He is also a director of the Minneapolis Savings & Loan Association. On the 14th of October, 1903, in Minneapolis, Mr. Gahre was united in marriage to Miss Helen M. Malin, daughter of Emery F. and Mary J. Malin of Cleveland, Ohio. They have become parents of one daughter, Elizabeth Malin. Mr. Gahre is a popular member of the Lafayette and Automobile Clubs of Minneapolis and has an extensive acquaintance in both business and social circles of his adopted city.
