Haglin, Jr., is a member of C. F. Haglin & Sons Company, a large construction and contracting business of Minneapolis, and his career has been successful chiefly by reason of his natural ability and his thorough insight into the profession in which he embarked at the outset of his business life. He is a native of this city and a son of C. F. and Emma Ruth (Smith) Haglin, extended mention of whom precedes this sketch. In the acquirement of his education C. F. Haglin, Jr., attended the local schools and after graduating from high school he enrolled in the University of Minnesota, where he was a student three years. The next two years he attended the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and was graduated from that institution in 1913. He then became a member of C. F. Haglin & Sons Company. The business is still carried on under this name, the officers being: Edward C. Haglin, president and treasurer; C. F. Haglin, Jr., vice president; and Preston S. Haglin, secretary. The company is now erecting the magnificent new Federal Reserve Bank building and the new Nicollet Hotel. Mr. Haglin has proved to be a practical business man and as such has won an enviable position among the leading and influential citizens of Minneapolis. On the 27th of October, 1918, was celebrated the marriage of Mr. Haglin and Miss Isabel Blackburn and they have one daughter, Virginia. Fraternally Mr. Haglin is a thirty-second degree Mason and a Shriner. All three brothers, who constitute the company, are exemplary members of the craft. Socially Mr. Haglin is identified with the Lafayette Club, the Minneapolis Club and the Minneapolis Athletic Club.
