JOHNSON One of the estimable citizens of Minneapolis is Alfred J. Johnson, treasurer of the United States Installment Realty Company. He is a native of this city and received his education in the public schools here. After attending high school he took a course in a business college and when putting his textbooks aside he began his business career as a stenographer in the office of the United States Realty Company. Because of his innate ability, conscientious performance of every duty assigned him and laudable ambition, he advanced rapidly and became treasurer of the institution in 1915. This company is a large operator in real estate, handling city property, farms and wild lands, and it also deals in bonds and investments. The company likewise handles a complete line of insurance, with the exception of life. On the 14th of June, 1919, was celebrated the marriage of Mr. Johnson to Miss Gladys V. Burns and to their union one daughter, Barbara Alice, has been born. Fraternally Mr. Johnson is a Mason, holding membership in Minneapolis Lodge, No. 19, F. & A. M., and he is identified with the Calhoun Club. Politically Mr. Johnson is an independent. He is in every sense of the word a self-made man and well merits the confidence and esteem in which he is held by his fellowmen.
