NASH Edward M. Nash, a native son of Minneapolis and a member of one of its honored pioneer families, which for nearly seven decades has been closely identified with the development and upbuilding of the city, is engaged in the general practice of law and his professional colleagues and the public accord him a position of prominence in his chosen calling. He was born February 13, 1881, and his parents were Michael W. and Mary A. (Brennan) Nash. More extended mention of the father, who was long a successful real estate operator and one of the leading business men of Minneapolis, is made on another page of this work. After completing his public school course Edward M. Nash became a student at the University of Minnesota, devoting two and a half years to academic work in that institution, and he then entered the St. Paul Law School, from which he was graduated with the class of 1907. In the same year he was admitted to the bar and at once took up the practice of his profession, which he has since followed successfully in this city. He has always practiced alone and has been retained as counsel by many of the well known business firms of Minneapolis, his clientele being a large and representative one. He is well versed in the law, readily quotes precedents, and his standing before the courts is an enviable one. Mr. Nash is a Roman Catholic in religious faith, being a member of the Pro-Cathedral, and, like his father, he is a stanch republican in his political views and an -active worker in the ranks of the party. He is identified with the Knights of Columbus, in which he has taken the third degree, the Royal Arcanum and the Lincoln Club. Nature endowed him with a keen intellect and his analytical powers and careful preparation of his cases have placed him among the strong and able lawyers at the bar of Minneapolis. Mr. Nash makes his home with his three sisters: Anna M., Julia A. and Margaret A. The two first named have been teachers in the public schools of Minneapolis for over twenty years.
