PARK Herbert T. Park, a self-educated, self-made man, is one of the highly esteemed members of the Minneapolis bar. He is of an old American family and a son of Dr. Willis H. and Elizabeth (Lee) Park, the former a successful physician. A native of Illinois, he was born October 29, 1879, and became a student at a military academy at Owatonna, Minnesota. He then entered the law school of the University of Minnesota, from which he was graduated in 1907. He provided the funds necessary for his professional training, working in a law office after lectures, and in the evening he was employed as a musician. In 1907 he was admitted to the bar and has since actively engaged in practice in this city, gaining recognition as one of the successful lawyers in the state. His name figures on the court records in connection with many of the most important cases tried in the district and his clientele is an extensive and repre-. sentative one. Since 1912 he has been an instructor in the Minnesota College of Law, of which he was formerly a trustee, and has been very successful in his educational work. Mr. Park married Miss Matilda C. Bruer and they have a son, Willis B., now six years of age. Mr. Park served as chairman of the Open Forum of the Civic & Commerce Association for the year 1922 and was the president of the Hennepin County Bar Association. He is a prominent Mason, belonging to Khurum Lodge, A. F. & A. M.; to Zion Commandery, K. T.; and to Zuhrah Temple of the Mystic Shrine. He is a director of the Lincoln Club and a member of the Minneapolis Athletic Club and is president of the Professional Men's Club of Minneapolis. He is ever ready to give his support to measures for the promotion of the public welfare and puts forth every possible effort for the benefit and upbuilding of the city in which he makes his home.
