ZINTSMASTER (Daniel Webster Zintsmaster) Daniel W. Zintsmaster of Minneapolis is readily conceded to be one of the finest photographers in this section of the country. He was born in Ilion, New York, on the 7th of April, 1885, a son of William H. and Nellie (Sullivan) Zintsmaster. Daniel W. Zintsmaster attended the schools of Ilion for a time and then went to Michigan with his father. He resided in Detroit and Hudson, Michigan, and subse­quently removed to Indiana. In 1894 he came to Minneapolis and attended school hero, completing his academic education. In 1912 he returned to Ilion and secured a position in the Remington Arms plant. He later took up photography and spent six years in Herkimer, New York, as a photographer, at the termination of which time he returned to Minneapolis and went into the Rembrandt Studio for two years. He then removed to Chicago and started in business for himself on the west side. After one year in that city he went to Texas and opened a Rembrandt Studio in Houston, and two years later located in Syracuse, New York, where he owned a fine studio which he conducted with substantial success for four years. In 1915 he disposed of that studio, however, and returned to Minneapolis, purchasing the Frederick Studio, which he renamed the Reynolds Studio. It is located at No. 518 Nicollet avenue. Seven years later he opened his present studio at No. 816 Nicollet, retaining ownership also of the Reynolds Studio, and he has started a commercial plant at No. 1525 East Franklin street. Mr. Zints-master has won an enviable reputation as a photographer and is considered one of the finest in this section of the country. On the 10th of August, 1910, was celebrated the marriage of Mr. Zintsmaster to Miss Isabell Launer of Laporte, Indiana, and to their union two children have been born: Mary Isabelle and Clara Louise. Mrs. Zintsmaster is socially prominent. Since attaining his majority Mr. Zintsmaster has given his political allegiance to the republican party and the principles for which it stands. As a public-spirited ana progressive citizen he holds membership in the Civic & Commerce Association and the Lions Club and his aid can always be counted upon in the furtherance of any movement for the upbuilding of the city, county and state. Fraternally he is a thirty-second degree Mason and is likewise identified with the Benevolent Protective Order of Elks. Socially he is connected with the Automobile Club.
