New Schwanden, Hennepin County, MN. founded in 1854 and settled on 
March 25, 1855,which was located in the Dayton, Maple Grove and Champlin 
Townships near Champlin ,MN. Osseo,MN and Maple Grove. Dayton being farther 
away but in the township. A Swiss memorial was dedicated on Oct 30, 1976 in 
the Elm Creek Park reserve in honor of these early Swiss families. The road 
location for the Hub of this Community is at the crossroads of Hayden Lake 
Rd, Elm Creek Rd. and Goose Lake road or Zachary Lane No. where the memorial 
stands and a Cemetery founded in 1866 which is still being used and cared for 
under perpetual care. New Schwanden can not be found on a MN map.
I have the documented History of this entire area.
There are books containing my work in the book "They Chose Minnesota and 
the book Champlin on the Mississippi" published in 1979 of which I was one 
of the working Authors in updating this History and also "The 
MN. Territorial Pioneers book of Pioneer Chronicals".
