John Lundberg, 92, of Spring Grove, Minn., died Sunday, July 11, 1999, at 
Tweeten Lutheran Health Care Center, Spring Grove.

Funeral services held Wednesday, July 14, 11 a.m., Trinity Lutheran Church,  
Spring Grove. Rev. Jim Arends officated with burial in church cemetery. Roble 
Funeral Home handled arrangements.

John Ruben Lundberg, born Dec. 22, 1906, in Jahannishus, Sweden, was son of 
Jonas and Johanna (Peterson) Lundberg. He moved from Sweden to Minneapolis, 
Minn. in 1925.

Attended Dunwoody Institute for mechanic and welding instruction. Worked for 
Charles Olson and Sons, where he worked on fabrication of truck
bodies, working as a mechanic and welder.

Sept. 21, 1941, married Hazel Bergrud at Trinity Lutheran Church, Spring 
Grove. They were members of St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Minneapolis. John 
was a member of the Gustavus Adolphus Society.

Moved to Spring Grove in 1994. Became member of Trinity Lutheran Church in 
Spring Grove.

Survivors include his wife, Hazel of Spring Grove, Minn.; one son, John 
Lundberg and his wife Judy, of Isle, Minn. and their children, John and 
Matthew Lundberg.

Preceded in death by four brothers and nine sisters.
