FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Harrison Benjamin Submitted: April 2002 ========================================================================= Obit of Karine Pedersen (Mrs. Wm Omodt) (1872-1955), Houston Co., MN Karine Omodt Karine Pedersen Omodt, daughter of Peder and Anne Loken Pedersen was born in Yucatan twp., Houston County, Minnesota, on December 6, 1872, and passed away at her farm home in Money Creek on May 28, 1955 at the age of 82 years, 5 months and 22 days. She was married in a double wedding ceremony to William Omodt on September 12, 1895 at Hudson, Wisconsin. Her sister Mary was married to Conrad Renning in the same ceremony. She spent her entire life in this vicinity and with her sister, Mary, operated a dress-making shop in Houston for several years. From the time of her marriage until her death she had made her home on the same farm for 59 years, 8 months and 15 days. Her husband preceded her in death on March 12, 1933. She leaves to morn her passing one daughter and four sons: Mrs. George N. (Ruby) Suhrie, Lancaster, Cal., Maurice, Farmington, Minn., Bertram of Tacoma, Wash., Clemont and Harris of Houston, and 8 grandchildren, also one sister, Mrs. Martin (Caroline) Omodt of Bucyrus, No. Dak. Funeral services were held May 31 from the Hill Funeral Home with Rev. C. G. Scharnberg of Spring Valley officiating. Interment was made in the Money Creek cemetery. Pallbearers were Tenius Olson, I. A. Johnson, Gilbert Dybing, Ed. Moen, Louis Laugen and Henry Jorde. -Contributed. Houston Signal, Houston, Minn., June 9, 1955
