"MRS. PETER HARTHAN OF COHASSET DIES:
     The death of Mrs. Peter Harthan of Cohasset occured Wednesday, May 8, at 
her home following a brief illness. Mrs. Harthan was born at Dubuque, Ia, 
November 17, 1855. Her parents died when she was merely a child when she moved 
to Clear Lake, Iowa to live with her aunt until she married Peter Harthan. To 
this union were born 12 children, two of whom died in infancy, ten are living.
 Seventeen years ago Mr. and Mrs. Harthan moved to Itasca County and settled on 
a homestead at West Cohasset. Mr. Harthan died on June 22, 1924, after which 
Mrs. Harthan made her home with two unmarried sons on the homestead. 

She was a member of the Congregational church from childhood until ten years ago 
when she joined the Church of God in Grand Rapids. 

Funeral services were held yesterday from the Church of God here, burial being 
made at the Itasca Cemetery."

"MRS. OLIVE HARTHAN
     Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock from the 
Church of God for Mrs. Olive Harthan with interment at the Itasca cemetery. Mrs. 
Harthan passed away at her farm home near Cohasset Wednesday from heart trouble. 
Mrs. Harthan's death was unexpected as she had seemed to be in good health until 
the day of her death. She was 73 years old last July. She was born at Dubuque, 
Iowa and later lived at Clear Lake, Iowa, where she was married to Peter 
Harthan, who passed away June 22, 1924. They came several years ago to Cohasset. 
The deceased is survived by ten children."
