FileFormat by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Lynn Moody Submitted: Oct 2002 ========================================================================= Braham Journal, Braham, MN dated 12 Feb 1904 Mrs. VanDusen Dead: After a lingering illness of about three years from that dread disease consumption, Annie VanDuzen, wife of Will VanDuzen, died Saturday morning, Feb. 5th, at 8:45 o'clock, at the age of 28 years, 10 months and 2 weeks. She was born in Norway and came to this country at the age of nine years, settling at Tracy, Minn., with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lee, who have been dead for some years. In the year 1893 she was wedded to Will VanDuzen at Huron, S. Dak. She leaves and husband and three children to mourn her loss, also four sisters, Mrs. H. Halvorson, of Willow City, N.D.; Mrs. P. Anderson, of Hayfield; Mrs. Jas. Edgar, of Brunswick; Mrs. R. M. Edgar, of Mora, and two brothers, John Lee of Tracy, and Nels Lee, of Verndale. The funeral services were conducted by Pastor Cavallin at the Lutheran chapel and the remains were intered in the Rice Lake Cemetery Monday, Feby. 8th. The VanDuzen family have been residents of Braham for about six months, during which time Mrs. VanDuzen's sufferings won for her the sympathy of all. The boy and baby girl go to his parents at Tracy, while Nels Lee, of Verndale, takes the oldest girl. Note: [This last sentence seems to be incorrect, in that there were two boys and one girl. Also, NelsLee took Frank, the youngest boy. Frank was about 4 years old at thetime of his mothers death. Note added by Charles Moody Grandnephew of Andrea Lee Van Dusen]
