At the caucus held Wednesday evening, Mr. Riddell won the nomination by a vote of 252 against 69 for a Mr. Erskine, with 38 votes scatttering. This is a flattering endorsement of Mr. Riddell as head of the municipal government of Grand Rapids and it is well deserved. The writer has known Mr. Riddell for a number of years, and we know him to be well worthy of the honor which is bestowed upon him by people of the "Rapids." He is broad-minded and conservative and possesses most excellent judgment--qualities which should be possessed by the head of any municipality.
