Andrew Jerney died at his home last Sunday, Dec. 2, from a stroke of paralysis. Mr. Jerney was 73 years of age and had been ill for several weeks. He has been a resident of Grand Rapids for the past five years, coming here from North Branch, Minn. Mr. Jerney is survived by five daughters and two sons. His daughters are Mrs. H. C. Mohaupt, Mrs. Edward Hankey and Mrs. G. C. Smith of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Charles Lund of Kingsdale, Minn., and Mrs. Joe Arnold of Los Angeles, Cal. His sons are N. E. Jerney of Grantsburg, Wis., and Axel Jerney of Minneapolis. All of the children were present at the funeral except the daughters residing in Los Angeles. Funeral services were held from the home this afternoon at 1 o’clock and from the Swedish church at 2 o’clock, with Rev. 0. W. Ohlson in charge.
