Oppegard died at Camp Pike, April 11, 1918, cause of death, pleuro-pneumonia. He was ill about ten days and had seemingly passed the crisis when from sheer weakness he passed away. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. E.A. Oppegard of Albert Lea. He was 23 years 8 months of age at the time of his death. He was given full military funeral at his home at Albert Lea, Thursday afternoon, April 18th.
