LANDE, Armin Armin Lande - page 13 - no photo Armin Lande, first Jackson County boy to lose life on battlefield. Grandson of C.C. Day of Jackson. Armin Lande enlisted in May 1917; became a member of the Fairmont National Guard, spent a number of months at Camp Cody. Armin Lande's death is commemorated by the addition of the fourth gold star to Jackson County's Service Flag, although he was the first to make the supreme sacrifice in action. LANGLAND, Fred H.
