Her death at the age of 91 was attributed to old age and flu. The Rev. H. J. Malotky was in charge of the rites and pallbearers were Joe Rezabek, George Rezabek, Robert Thompson, Paul Rosnow, Lester Gittins and Anton Fuchs. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Hastings. Ann Pottratz was born May 4, 1861, in Elmshorn, Germany, came to America in 1877 and lived in Pipestone county for 14 years. Coming to Kanabec county in 1900, she had lived here since with the exception of seven years spent with a daughter in Hastings. Her parents were Richard and Katherina Mohr and in August 1883, she was married to Herman Pottratz at Pipestone. Eight children were born to the couple and seven survive her—Mrs. Fred (Emilie) Lomker, Mora; Mrs. Tom (Emma) Carlton, Oshkosh, Wis.; Mrs. Iver (Margaret) Loken, Billings, Mont.; Arnold, Portland, Ore.; Herbert, Minneapolis; Mrs. Erick (Bertha) Loken; and Richard, Mora. Mrs. George (Laura) Pride preceded her mother in death. In addition to her children, Mrs. Pottratz is survived by 29 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew in Germany.
