FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Joanne Bledsoe ========================================================================= The following information was compiled from family bible records, books and records provided to me by the Kandiyohi Historical Society, Norwegian census documents, a contact at the University of Tromso in Norway, and Janet Grey in St Cloud, Minnesota who had alot of family records on the Johnson/Nilson family. THE OLSON/NILSEN/JOHNSON/ELVEBAK FAMILY PERNILLE JOHANNESDATTER was born in Storsteinleia, Mo Parish, Nordland, Norway in 1798. She married Nils Johannessen in 1825. They had 5 children, Jacob Nilsen, Per Kristian Nielsen, Pernille Nilsdatter, Johannes Nilsen Elvebak, Nils Nilsen Elvebak. (Of these children only Jacob remained in Norway). Pernille's husband died in 1834 several months before his youngest son was born. Pernille married Johan Andreassen in 1836. They were the parents of Andreas Johansson (Andres Johnson), Ane Marie Johansdatter, and Dorothea Johansdatter (married Tideman Ulrickson). Pernille and John Anderson followed their children to America and settled in Kandeyohi County near Willmar Minnesota.
