FileFormatted by Terri--MNArchives Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Joanne Bledsoe ========================================================================= The following information was compiled from family bible records, books and records provided to me by the Kandiyohi Historical Society, Norwegian census documents, a contact at the University of Tromso in Norway, and Janet Grey in St Cloud, Minnesota who had alot of family records on the Johnson/Nilson family. JOHN ADOLPH OLSON was born in Willmar April 1875. He and his brother had a store in Seattle prior to moving to the Yukon to search for gold. He was a minor in Dawson City Yukon Territory until 1906. He moved to Tanana and formed a freight company transporting goods between Fairbanks and Nome. He was known for being a good businessman and was successful at his calling. Adolph never married. He spent the last few years of his life at the Old Pioneers Home in Sitka Alaska. He died in October of 1962 and is buried in the Old Pioneer Cemetery in Sitka.
