JULIA PETRINE OLSON was born July 28, 1869 in Willmar Minnesota. She moved with her family to Seattle in 1895 and worked as a clerk in her father's store. She married c 1900 and had one daughter Gladys born February 1904. Her husband deserted her shortly after the birth of her daughter. She grew very bitter toward men and would not allow her daughter to marry. She helped her daughter to get a college education and Gladys supported herself and her mother for many years. Gladys had a teaching degree and was also an accomplished musician. She played the piano and was a church organist for many years. She also was a realtor and invested in rental properties. After her mother's death c1952, Gladys married Einer Storstein. Einer owned several real estate properties in Anchorage Alaska. Einer died in 1980 and Gladys passed away December 25, 1996. Gladys was an intelligent and talented woman. She had several degrees and excelled scholastically. She was very strong in her Christian beliefs and supported the church throughout her lifetime.
