Hennessey will regret to learn the recent misfortune which befell the loss of their little daughter last Friday. The funeral services were conducted from the family residence near Northcote and the internment took place at the Catholic Cemetery. Rev. Father O'Mahony officiating. The funeral cortage was one of the largest ever held at that place which goes to show the deep sorrow that exists in the neighborhood for the bereaved parents. Mr. and Mrs. Hennessey desire to express their sincere thanks to their neighbors and friends for the many acts of kindness shown them during the sickness and the burial of their beloved child. Died: At Northcote, May 16, 1902, Emma Beatrice Hennessey. Beatrice went mild and lovely, Gentle as the summer breeze. Pleasant as the air of the evening, When it float among the trees. She hath gone from us, the loved one, Longer her she might have not stay. Jesus wanted her in heaven, So he took her away. We have missed our little darling, For no more on earth we'll see, The joyous face and laughing eyes, So full of childish glee. Dearest Beatrice, thou has left us ,Here thy loss we deeply feel: But 'tis God who hath bereft us, He can all our sorrows heal. Peaceful be thy slumber, Beatrice, Peaceful in the grave so low. Thou go more wilt join our number, Thou no more our love shall know. Yet again we hope to meet her, When the day of life have fled; Ten in heaven with joy to meet her, Where no farewell tears are shed. So the Lord called the tender lamb to fold her in his arms.
