Made available to The USGenWeb Archives by: Doug Peterson Obituaries appear to be taken from local newspapers in LeSueur County, Minnesota area. published after 17 February 1911 Last Tuesday evening the death angel visited the home of Charles Cheadle and took from them their infant son, Frederick Nelson, a sweet winsome baby of thirteen months. His illness was brief but fatal. Physicians were called and all was done to stay the hound of death, but all was ineveitable [sic] and Tuesday evening the babe passed away in a coughing spell, having been a sufferer from whopping cough and pneumonia. Funeral services were held from the home Friday afternoon, Mrs. M. D. Wood of Le Sueur Center, officiating. Interment was at Savidge Lake cemetery. Mrs. and Mrs. ["and Mrs." crossed out] Goldsmith of Ladysmith, and Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Sapp of Cordova township, were among those from out of town present at the funeral. Tuesday evening, February 14th death visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Cheadle, taking from them their infant son, Frederick Nelson, aged 13 months, after a hard struggle with pneumonia and whooping cough. He will be sadly missed in the home by his bereaved parents and sisters and brother. The funeral services were held Friday afternoon from the house, Mrs. M. D. Wood of Le Sueur Center officiating. Interment was at Savidge Lake Cemetery. They have the sympathy of all in their bereavement. Mr. and Mrs. Henry Goldsmith of Minneapolis and Ralph Goldsmith of Ladysmith, Wis, were among those from out of town who attended the funeral of Frederick Cheadle. END OF FILE
